Privacy policy
This policy explains what data the Taste the Tasca website handles when you visit it, why, and who sees it. The site has no accounts and no forms, and does not ask you for any personal data.

What we handle
The site does not ask you for any personal data: it has no accounts, no forms and no newsletter.
It handles only what is described below: the language you choose, kept in your browser, and visit statistics that do not identify you.
Cookies
The site uses a single cookie, and only if you choose a language in the PT / EN switch: it keeps that choice for one year, so that the site always opens in the language you chose. It stays in your browser and serves no other purpose.
It uses no advertising or statistics cookies.
Visit statistics
We count visits to the site with Umami, installed on the same server that hosts the site. The data goes to no other company.
Umami uses no cookies and keeps no personal data: not your IP address, nor anything that identifies you. It records only the page seen, the page or site you came from, the browser and its language, the operating system, the kind of device, the screen size, and the country and city, worked out from the IP address without keeping it. If the link you followed carries campaign parameters (such as utm_source), it records them too. It also measures how long the page takes to load and to respond, in milliseconds. That is why the site does not ask for your consent for it.
It also counts some clicks, with no data of yours: calling a tasca, e-mailing it, or opening its map or its website, opening a photo, filtering by region, searching and switching language. It knows that the click happened and on which tasca, not who made it. Of a search, it only knows whether it found any tascas, never what you typed.
Only the data controller has access to the statistics panel.
Other websites
Photos and fonts are served by the site itself: opening a page makes no requests to Google or to any other company, apart from the visit statistics described above.
The tasca pages link to Google Maps, to the tascas' websites and social networks, to the authors of the photos on Google Maps, and to each tasca's phone and e-mail. When you follow one of these links you leave this site, and what happens from then on is governed by that service's privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page, with the date it was updated.
Complaints
You can contact the data controller named at the top of this page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
